Famous car salesmen? Oxymoron?

Cal Worthington was a fixture of the Southern California car sales scene in the '70s, '80s, and '90s, as he would ride on top of camels, elephants, dolphins, and other strange things in a cowboy suit on local commercials to get attention. It worked. Everybody in L.A. knew if they needed a car, they should "Go See Cal (and his dog, Spot)."

But for the most part, they don't exactly put car salesmen on a pedestal. (Source)
