(3) Base Camp

Laurel acts like an average fifteen-year-old: She hates biology, plays tunes on her mother's guitar, and goes through cans of Sprite like nobody's business. True, she also turns out to be a faerie, but intellectually, she still talks and thinks like a normal teenager. Since she's our main narrator in Wings, this means that the story's pretty easy to follow. While you can definitely expect some plot twists, you won't be left in the dark for too long about what's going on.
