The Toad—short and squat, as his nickname implied. (2.33)
He's short, he hops around like a toad, but he's muscular and strong. In the end, he's just a kid (like Mark), but he gets infected with the Flare after taking care of Misty. And, unfortunately, Alec has to kill the Toad to end his suffering.
