Character Role Analysis

Lina Lamont

If Lina had a mustache, she'd spend the whole movie twirling it. She ticks all of the villain boxes: She's delusional, she's an egomaniac, and she's willing to step on everybody to get what she wants. She gets Kathy fired, she threatens to sue R.F. and take his job, and she's the biggest obstacle to Don's success, both professionally and romantically. Then there's that bloodcurdling voice. It's like a malcontent parrot getting his beak slammed in a car door.
