Character Analysis
George is an ex-student who was on Jack's debate team at Stovington Prep. When George is cut from the team, he retaliates against Jack by slashing his tires. Jack catches him in the act, loses his temper, and comes near murdering him. This incident loses Jack his job, helping to propel him toward the Overlook and his doom. Frustration and guilt over the incident with George are inner demons that work with the Overlook, helping bring Jack to utter madness.
