Character Role Analysis

John Doe

John Doe is the obvious antagonist. If you think he's the hero, well … we're afraid. We're very afraid.

This is a guy who believes he's doing God's work—by killing people. He feeds a man until he bursts. He keeps a man restrained for a year. He forces a man to have sex with a prostitute while wearing a knife as a phallus. He forces another man to use a knife on himself and carve off a pound of flesh. He cuts a woman's face and encourages her to kill herself. And he chops off Gwyneth Paltrow's head and coerces Brad Pitt to kill him.

Bad guy? More like worst guy.
