Lucy Honeychurch

You can’t have a coming of age story without a character that comes of age. Here, it’s Lucy Honeychurch. Though she starts out as something of an ingénue, she develops into a deep and charismatic character during the course of the novel. While we occasionally get intimate glimpses into the minds and hearts of other characters, it’s really Lucy who’s at the center of this book in terms of both plot and character.
