Exactly how steamy is this story?

Princess Academy has less sexual tension in it than the average Disney princess movie. Even though Miri and Peder are young teenagers (and presumably capable of being driven by their raging hormones), the book doesn't hint at any real sexiness. Sure Miri longs to hold hands with Peder, but that's some pretty tame daydreaming, and by the end all the two have done is kiss on the cheek and hold hands. Not exactly the kind of stuff they'd have to sneak by their parents.
