Ken Kesey hated the film version of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975) directed by Milos Forman and starring Jack Nicholson. He sued the producers because they didn’t use Chief Bromden’s narrative viewpoint to frame the story.

Much has been made of Ken Kesey’s drug use but he also served a few months in prison for possession of marijuana (after attempting to flee to Mexico to avoid the charge). (Source.)
