A waitress Dean fools around with in Part III, Chapter Eight. Having hung out with her for about an hour, he tells Sal that he wants to marry her as soon as he can divorce Camille. Beverly serves as yet another example of Dean’s impulsiveness, carelessness when it comes to women, and his inability to see more than five seconds ahead on the road of his desires.
