Eve Kendall (Eva Marie Saint)’s Timeline and Summary

Eve meets Thornhill on the train headed from New York to Chicago and helps him hide from police.
Eve goes so far as to hide Thornhill in her compartment.
She sends him to The Middle of Nowhere, Indiana, where he's attacked by a crop-dusting plane.
When he shows up alive in her hotel room, Eve clearly feels guilty but warns Thornhill to stay away.
Eve is in danger when Vandamm starts to suspect that she's lying to protect Thornhill.
Eve shoots Thornhill as a way to preserve her cover and regain Vandamm's trust.
Thornhill warns her that, after Leonard's revelations to Vandamm, the bad guys are on to her.
She knows this means she can't get on the plane leaving the US with Vandamm as planned.
Eve grabs the statuette with government secrets out of Vandamm's hands.
Roger rescues her from death on Mount Rushmore as they climb all over the monument to escape Vandamm.
One second she's hanging off the cliff face, and the next she's being pulled up in the train berth by a grinning Thornhill.
