• Scar refuses to attend his nephew's presentation ceremony.
• Scar manipulates Simba into going to the elephant graveyard.
• When Simba survives the elephant graveyard, Scar circles his wagons and enlists the hyenas in a murderous plot to kill both Mufasa and Simba.
• Scar succeeds in killing Mufasa, but Simba remains alive. He sends Simba into exile, telling the hyenas to kill him.
• Scar (really ineffectually) rules the Pride Lands for several years.
• To Scar's shock, Simba returns to the Pride Lands.
