Damaged
- Leticia is in gym. She doesn't get the purpose of the class: change, run for a few minutes, play volleyball for a few minutes, and change back.
- Also, Leticia doesn't like to sweat, especially because she has to sit next to James, her chemistry class crush, the next period.
- The gym is big and split into two classes, and Leticia tries not to stare at Dominique, who is in the other class.
- The gym teacher is teaching the class how to set the ball in volleyball. When Leticia's partner tosses her the ball, Leticia breaks a nail—and while she wouldn't run for the volleyball, for her nail she is "knocking down girls" (17.30). Priorities, right?
- Then Leticia marches over to Capito, the gym teacher, and asks who's going to pay for the nail. Capito laughs, but Leticia isn't joking. The most Leticia gets is a pass to the nurse.
