Fan favorite character Dill—who's totally based on Truman Capote—appears in flashbacks, as Jem and Scout's comic relief. He's punished by Aunt Rachel for cutting holes in her sheets and pretending to be a ghost. We learn in present-day that he joined the military and moved to Italy. Are you surprised to find that's where life took him? We're surprised he isn't writing a true crime book.
