Fans of Gigi tend to be those folks who are fans of musicals in general and fans of MGM movie musicals in particular. Their VHS tapes of That's Entertainment! wore out long ago from constant play and they probably know more about Fred Astaire and Judy Garland than about their own grandchildren. MGM musicals were talent-driven, and you'll find more fan sites for the stars than for the films except maybe for The Wizard of Oz. But lovers of classic Hollywood movies know that MGM's the place to look if you need that hit of joie de vivre you just can't find anywhere else.
