- Since the siege of Riverrun is broken, the Stark army relaxes a little. Catelyn goes to see her dying father in the castle.
- But then it's back to work. Robb is unsure of what to do next: he can't swear fealty to Joffrey after Eddard's execution; and while Renly has the best army, Stannis has the best claim to the throne after Robert's kids. (Remember, Robb doesn't know that these Baratheon-Lannister kids are actually Lannister-Lannister kids.)
- But then Greatjon Umber says that Robb is the only king he needs: the King in the north, like in the old days. (Once again, proving that nostalgia can strike anywhere.)
- All the other lords also take up the chant. This is a popularity contest, that's for sure.
