Character Analysis
Captain Rogelio Gomez is the Republican officer who gives Andrés a helping hand when he crosses the Republican lines with his dispatch. Unlike everyone else, he's genuinely helpful. He takes Andrés to HQ on his motorbike, and has his temper and his gun at the ready to help them get through a couple of the more inert folks they meet on the way. Unfortunately, he gets them both into trouble by asking Comrade Marty for help.
