- Nemur and Strauss seem surprisingly cool about taking Charlie back into the lab.
- But Charlie has a couple conditions: he gets to work on his own at the lab without anybody breathing down his back (cough Nemur cough).
- Surprise, surprise—Burt figures out that Algernon has seriously regressed in his intelligence.
- Charlie figures out that if Algernon dies, he'll get dumped in an incinerator. Then he's all "Hey guys… what's going to happen to me?"
- Nemur tells Charlie that he's headed straight to the Warren State Home if his mental abilities regress; Charlie's not exactly thrilled.
- Charlie decides to visit Warren, just to see what's in store for him. He's no fool—he wants to see the school.
