Flora and Ulysses Chapter 61 Summary

I Want to Go Home

  • Flora remembers that you can find your way by tracking the North Star or looking at the moss on trees; even so, though, it's hard to figure out where you are in the woods.
  • Tootie and Flora keep yelling out for Ulysses, but they have no luck.
  • William thinks it's hopeless, and wishes he could see; Tootie tells him he can see.
  • They argue about this for a bit, until Tootie points out you can't push someone's truck into a lake and expect there to be no consequences.
  • Hmm… so that's why his mom kicked him out.
  • William tells Flora he got all annoyed at Tyrone for calling him Billy when he knew William hated it, and wanting to get his revenge, he pushed Tyrone's truck into a lake.
  • William doesn't see anything wrong with this, and then says he wants to go home.
  • Flora grabs his hand and holds it tight, just like in her dream, and Tootie picks up the lamp and carries it.
  • Flora wishes her dad were here, and then she decides where to go.
