Minnie's Friends

Character Analysis

With friends like these, who needs enemies? We think these ladies are behind much of the sinister action of "Dry September." A big goal in their life seems to be helping Minnie snag a man, in order to save her from the ridicule and scorn she faces as a single woman of almost 40. At the same time, they seem to be punishing her for her behavior with the bank teller. We talk about this at length in Minnie's "Character Analysis" under "Voiceless, Innocent?" So check it out.
