- Doug has the notebook out and is writing all about Colonel Freeleigh. He's determined to write down everything from his own life as well,so he can be a time machine when he grows up.
- He tells Tom he has to spend as much time as possible with Colonel Freeleigh so he can go "far-traveling" with him more often.
- Tom thinks "far-traveling" is a pretty awesome expression, and repeats it a couple of times.
- Doug says, though, that even though he's all about it, "it sure sounds lonely."
