Roxie Hart

Roxie Hart is arguably the protagonist of our story. We say arguably, because you'll see her under the antagonist role, too.

Roxie isn't the first major character we see—that would be Velma—but she is the character we spend the most time with. We follow her trials (including a literal trial) and all of the movie's musical sequences are fantasies in her head, giving us intimate insight into her dreams and her fears. Something about her charm makes us root for her.

But this doesn't mean we'd want to be buddies with her. After all, she might shoot us.
