Cat's Cradle Chapter 7 Summary

The Illustrious Hoenikkers

  • Newt ends his letter with three post-scripts.
  • P.S.: Newt didn't sign "fraternally yours," because they're even taking away his membership in the fraternity.
  • P.P.S.: John's calling the Hoenikkers "illustrious" might be a bit of a stretch. Newt's a midget who flunked out of college, and Frank is wanted by everyone but Dog the Bounty Hunter. Maybe something like "glamorous" is closer to the truth.
  • P.P.P.S.: Newt doesn't want John to get the wrong impression of him. He doesn't just sulk and pity himself all day long. He has a girlfriend and plans to get married, so he's actually very lucky.
  • Good on you, Newt.
