Guy is another fifth-grader and, before Leslie arrives in town, is one of Jess's biggest running competitors. They could kind of be described as frenemies. Guy is bossy – he takes over organizing the races on the first day of school – but Jess is confident he can beat Guy in the race any day. As it turns out, Leslie beats both of them.
