Gaff

Hey, we had to find somebody to fill this role. Gaff isn't a very assertive mentor—but he does do some mildly mentor-like things.

For one thing, he forces Deckard into the quest, and then he uses origami figures to instruct him, calling him a chicken with an origami chicken, for example, and hinting that Deckard might be a replicant with an origami unicorn. Gaff also tells Deckard that he's "done a man's job" at the end of the movie, praising him in a rather mentor-esque fashion.
