Character Role Analysis

Fogg/Passepartout

Fogg and Passepartout are as different as, well, the English and the French. These two complement each other through their differences. Fogg is passive, reserved, and unemotional; nothing fazes him and he's never excited or shocked at anything. Passepartout, however, spends his nights tossing and turning, worrying about anything and everything and getting overly emotional on the spot.

While Passepartout is always getting into scrapes, Fogg seems to see everything coming his way clearly; he's calculated it all into his plan. In addition, Fogg chooses to ignore the beauty and culture of the world around him, while Passepartout is in awe of just about everything he sees. Still, as a dynamic duo, they are able to overcome just about every obstacle set in their way.
