- Violet's angry about a lot of things, actually. No one is acknowledging that Finch's death was a suicide. She's also mad at Finch for leaving her behind.
- At dinner that night, Violet's parents talk about how much they dislike Finch's parents. They're to blame.
- Violet goes up to her room and thinks about Finch. She feels guilty about his death.
