How It All Goes Down
- Victor, Wendi's stepfather, puts Bear in the trunk to take him for a ride.

- Victor releases Bear in the wilderness. "You're free, now" (27.32), he says, and drives away.
- Bear isn't living in squalor, but he still doesn't have a purpose or direction.
- Bear wanders until all of a sudden, he realizes exactly where he is.
