This film doesn't have a guide or mentor character. There are many candidates for this role, although none quite achieve it. Mr. Deltoid is Alex's adviser, but he's too skeevy and ineffective for anyone to listen to him. The Ludovico technique is a guide of sorts, but it guides Alex through force and manipulation.

Even Alex himself could be considered a guide or mentor to his droogs, but they turn against him. The lack of any strong role model is apparent in Alex's anarchistic lifestyle. Perhaps if Alex had a guide or mentor, he wouldn't be the amoral thug he is.
