Shakespeare Words

Shakespearean, not stirred.

If Shakespeare wrote it, we've Shmooped it.

Rant

Popularized in Hamlet

I'll rant as well as thou (5.1.269)

This one comes to us from Dutch (randten) and German (rantzen). It was so popular in England that the word rantipole was slang for a rude dude in Shakespeare's day.
