This line is spoken by Rick, played by Humphrey Bogart, in the film Casablanca, directed by Michael Curtiz (1942).

The ending of Casablanca might be the most quotable few minutes of all cinema. As Rick prepares to say goodbye to Elsa, we get to experience "You'll regret it. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon, and for the rest of your life";  "We'll always have Paris";  "The problems of three little people don't amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world"; and, finally, "Here's looking at you, kid," bringing tears to the eyes of movie goers for generations.
