Way easier than building your own with huge capex, and then the need to keep employed 28 very high-maintenance engineers to run the Star Ship Whateverprise. Way easier to just rent and have experts do what they do best, all day long, in fixing every little bug that comes up and keeping its customers happy enough to continue subscribing.
