Lame Duck

Your opponent was elected POTUS. You were the incumbent. You lost. They're no longer into you.

So now it's November 20th and you have 8 weeks before the new Prez is sworn in. You want to keep changing laws. But you can't. You're lame. You're hobbled. If you push on much of anything, Congress can just fillibuster and delay and wait and then the holidays come. And you'll be out of office before anything meaningful passes.

So you're that lame duck with nothing to do but await the executioner's axe. Quack quack.
