Handle

Remember CB Radios? They were big in the '80s, before cell phones got cheap. They had this huge, 20-foot-long antenna usually bolted to the back of a truck. "Breaker breaker 19...I'm on the 101 South in the heart of Silicon Valley and I think I just saw a Republican..."

And then someone answers back, "Really? Where? I want a picture for the kids."

And the trucker says, "Photo Dude, what's your handle?"

And Photo Dude says, um, "Photo Dude." And the conversation just ends.

But your handle is your name, real or not, as your identification marker on a broad, multi-direct radio network. It's just CB speak, and sounds cooler than your actual name.
