Disaffirmance

Categories: Regulations

Regret is a tough thing to deal with. If you regret signing a contract, you could pull out your disaffirmance card, which would mean you’re renouncing the contract. Disaffirmance is when you void a contract, letting the other party or parties know that you’re not bound by the contract.

What’s the point of contracts if we can disaffirm them? Well, sometimes people are forced into contracts, or maybe aren’t in their right state of mind (too young, too intoxicated, etc.) to be signing whatever contract they’re signing. Disaffirmance ain’t no joke, but it’s a nice safety net when you need it.
