Conceptual Skills

Mental skills.

A lot of people lack them…especially when driving. Or walking while texting. Or just explaining how the government works.

Mental skills are another term for conceptual skills. A person with good conceptual skills can take a good look at complicated events or situations and figure out how to handle them in a way that makes sense. It doesn’t mean that the person is always right; it just means that he/she isn’t doing random, foolish things.

After analyzing and figuring out what to do, the person should be able to come up with a realistic plan. As the plan progresses, the person should be able to compensate for all of those random things that are very likely to happen..and which drive people absolutely nuts.
