Commercial Account
One hundred and fifty years of case law concerning the 14th amendment may designate a corporation as a person under the U.S. constitution. But there remain some distinctions between companies and the type of people you can challenge to a foot race. Enter: commercial accounts.
A commercial account is one dedicated to a corporate client. The distinction being made is with accounts aimed at individual customers.
The term can come up in almost any industry. Commercial accounts might include different rates and offerings, and come up frequently for services like cell phones, Internet, and credit cards. Commercial accounts occur most regularly in banking, where a number of regulatory provisions make a necessary distinction from the products offered to individuals.
